Navimow Battery Replacement: Which Pack, Part Number & Price
A Navimow battery is a part, not a death sentence for the mower. The pack is a module that unclips and lifts out, Segway sells it under its own part number, and on an X430 or X450 the swap takes about ten minutes.
The short version: X430 and X450 owners in North America buy one pack — the 12.8Ah, part AB1203000126, $489.11. Terranox owners buy by model: 20Ah for the 3-acre CM120M1, 25Ah for the 6-acre CM240M1. They don’t swap with each other.
Which battery fits my Navimow?
Find your model, then the pack. Prices are Segway’s MSRP; part numbers are listed where Segway publishes them.
| Model | Pack | Segway part number | MSRP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Navimow X315 | 6Ah | — | $220.79 |
| Navimow X330 | 8Ah | — | $271.83 |
| Navimow X350 | 10Ah | — | $394.53 |
| Navimow X430 / X450 (North America) | 12.8Ah | AB1203000126 | $489.11 |
| Terranox CM120M1 (3 acres) | 20Ah | AB1206000190 | $645.96 |
| Terranox CM240M1 (6 acres) | 25Ah | AB1206000136 | $715.29 |
| Navimow i2 series (i206, i210, i215) | — | not yet published | not yet published |
For comparison across brands: Mammotion’s 6.1Ah pack for the LUBA mini AWD 1500 is $209, and Yarbo’s 38.4Ah Y Series pack, which every Yarbo Core runs on, is $1,199.
Two things trip people up in that table:
- The X430 and X450 share a pack. You don’t need to hunt for an “X430 battery” and an “X450 battery” separately. In North America it’s the same 12.8Ah part.
- The two Terranox packs don’t share anything. The 20Ah and 25Ah aren’t interchangeable. The 25Ah is not an upgrade for the 3-acre machine. Order by model number.
How much does a replacement Navimow battery cost?
Between $220.79 and $715.29 at MSRP, depending on the mower. The one most owners will ever buy is the X430/X450’s $489.11.
It’s worth putting that number next to how rarely you buy it. Navimow rates its packs for about 1,500 charge cycles before capacity starts to fade, and a robot mower’s little-and-often charging is gentle on lithium. On a typical residential lawn that’s years of mowing. How many years depends on your lawn size, and we ran that math by acreage in how long a robot mower battery lasts. The short answer: a small lawn can outlast the mower, and a big one wears the pack in years instead of decades.
Is the Navimow battery removable?
Yes. On the X430 and X450 the battery is a swappable module under an access panel, not a pack sealed into the shell. That design choice is why a tired battery is a few-hundred-dollar repair instead of a new mower.
How do I replace a Navimow X430 or X450 battery?
About ten minutes, and the only tool is a Torx bit.
- Power the mower off and take it off the charging station.
- Remove the access panel screws and keep them together, so none rolls under the bench.
- Release the battery connector’s clip. Pull on the connector body, never on the wires.
- Lift the old pack out.
- Seat the new pack the same way the old one sat.
- Reconnect until the connector clicks home, then put the panel back.
- Power up and charge it fully before the first mow, so the mower starts with a full pack and an accurate reading.
The steps are for the X430 and X450. The Terranox packs are a different size in a commercial machine. If you’d rather not open one yourself, that’s a job we do.
Lithium safety, briefly
- Don’t puncture, short or soak a pack, old or new.
- Recycle the old one. It doesn’t go in the trash; a battery recycler or a battery drop-off will take it.
- A swollen, cracked or damaged pack is a stop sign. Don’t charge it and don’t install it. Call us.
When is it time to replace the battery?
Look at what the mower is doing, not at a calendar:
- It needs more recharges to finish the same lawn than it did last season.
- Each run is clearly shorter before it heads back to the dock.
Both mean the pack holds less than it used to. The usual marker for “time to think about a replacement” is when capacity drops to about 80% of new. The mower still works below that; it just covers less per charge, and on a big lawn that starts to show in the schedule.
Two things make a pack last longer before you get there. Keep the dock out of relentless afternoon sun where you can, because heat ages lithium. And over winter, store the mower partly charged rather than dead-empty or full. Our winterizing guide covers the battery step along with the blades and storage.
Can I use a third-party Navimow battery?
We only sell and install genuine Segway packs. We haven’t tested third-party packs, so we don’t recommend one, for or against. If you’re weighing an aftermarket pack, the genuine part numbers above are what it has to match, and the chemistry and connector have to be right for your model.
Where to buy a genuine Navimow battery
The three packs most owners need are in our store, at Segway’s pricing:
- Segway Navimow Battery for X430 and X450 — 12.8Ah, AB1203000126
- Segway Navimow Battery for Terranox 3 Acre (CM120M1) — 20Ah, AB1206000190
- Segway Navimow Battery for Terranox 6 Acre (CM240M1) — 25Ah, AB1206000136
Check your warranty first. If the mower is still under warranty and the pack is failing early, that’s a warranty claim, not a purchase. Call us before you order and we’ll sort out which it is.
