What Wilmington lawns are actually like
Wilmington is really two different mowing problems. North Wilmington and Brandywine Hundred — Woodbrook, Sharpley, Brandywine Hills — went up after the war, mostly 1950s and 60s split-levels and Colonial Revivals on lots around a quarter acre, with street trees that have had seventy years to close over the yard. Head into the city and the lots shrink to row-home strips; head west toward Greenville and they open out into acreage.
On a mature quarter acre the deciding factor isn't cutting width, it's whether the mower holds a satellite fix under all that canopy — which is the whole argument for a LiDAR machine over RTK alone. We scan the tree line and check the dock's sky view before quoting, because a dock tucked under a big maple is the most common reason an install here goes sideways.
We also cover Greenville, Hockessin, Newark and New Castle County.
