Yarbo — the modular tracked robot that mows all summer and clears snow all winter
One tracked Core, swappable modules — and now two Cores: the Y40, and the new Y40P with faster dual-hub-motor drive and nothing to mount. A 20-inch Lawn Mower Pro rated to about 6 acres a week on the Y40 and 7 on the Y40P, a Snow Blower Gen 2 with a 12-inch intake, a blower and a trimmer. The only single robot that answers both mowing and snow — and the workhorse of our own 12-acre Eastern Shore fleet.
Who Yarbo is for
- Big, rough properties. Tracks cross ruts, ditches and rough ground a wheeled mower can't, and one Pro is rated to about 6 acres (7 on the Y40P).
- Snow. Map the driveway and walks, set a throwing direction per surface, and storms get cleared on a schedule — a 12-inch intake and the honesty about plow berms up front.
- Four-season budgets: one machine, two jobs. The Lawn Mower Pro + Snow Blower Gen 2 package has its own page and its own math.
- Acreage fleets. Our 12-acre Eastern Shore system runs five Yarbos alongside five LUBA 3s with zero gas mowers.
- Gravel driveways — with the right setup, which we've written up.
- Leaves and edges. The blower and trimmer modules turn the same Core into fall cleanup and trimming.
Who it isn't for
- Small suburban lots. It's a 20-inch tracked machine at a tracked-machine price; the X315 or YUKA mini is the honest answer under half an acre.
- Tight, ornate yards with narrow passages and lots of beds — a wheeled mower threads those better.
- A Y40 on a property without a good Data Center spot. The RTK base wants 120°-plus of sky, a rigid high mount and a wired PoE run; a wireless bridge is Yarbo's own fallback, with the stability caveat we print. (The Y40P skips it: NetRTK over its own 4G.)
- The worst plow berms and bonded ice. A robot snow blower is not a plow; we say so before you buy.
- A one-person afternoon install. Four boxes, about 220 pounds, and the dock has to sit outside every work area.

Yarbo — common questions
What does a Yarbo actually do?
Whatever module is on the Core. The Lawn Mower Pro is a 20-inch dual-disc mower rated to about 6 acres a week on the Y40 and 7 on the Y40P; the Snow Blower Gen 2 clears driveways and walks with a 12-inch intake and a throwing direction you set per surface; the blower handles fall cleanup and the trimmer the edges. What's the difference between the Yarbo Y40 and the Y40P?
Same modules, different Core. The Y40 — the original Yarbo Core, renamed — moves at 0.6 m/s, is rated to about 6 acres a week, and positions off a Data Center we mount on the home: RTK that works without the internet. The Y40P adds dual hub motors (1.2 m/s, stronger on hills), is rated to 7 acres a week, and positions by NetRTK over its included 4G kit (two years of service) or your Wi-Fi — nothing to mount. Each package lists about $1,600 more on the Y40P, and it ships from October 2026.
How big a property can a Yarbo handle?

Does it really clear snow?
Yes, on the surfaces you map — driveway, walks, an apron — on a schedule, with a 12-inch intake and the throw direction set per area. The honest limits are the municipal plow berm and bonded ice, which we cover before you buy, and gravel works with the right setup. What does the install involve?
More than a mower. Four boxes and about 220 pounds make it a two-person job, and the dock must sit level, with clearance, outside every work area. On the Y40 the Data Center (the RTK base) wants 120°-plus of open sky on a rigid, high mount with a wired PoE run — about 98 feet of cable ships in the box; the Y40P has no Data Center, running NetRTK over its included 4G instead. The lawn and the driveway are mapped in separate sessions. It's why we install it ourselves.
Is one Yarbo better than a mower plus a snow blower?
For a property that needs both, usually — it's the only single robot that does both jobs, and the Lawn Mower Pro + Snow Blower Gen 2 package prices as one machine. We've compared a robot winter against a plow contract, and a Yarbo Pro against the Terranox and the LUBA 3, on this site.
